Miami-Dade County released an series of flyers on September 8, 2014 about the launch of SunPass only tolls that includes the following information.

Starting Tuesday evening, September 23, 2014, all tolls on the Rickenbacker Causeway and Venetian Causeway will be collected electronically. Use your SunPass transponder to enjoy a smoother ride.
