Join Miami EcoAdventures, Miami-Dade Parks, Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network, and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to celebrate Earth Day, April 22, with a volunteer cleanup day of Crandon Park Bear Cut Preserve, a protected fossilized reef. Volunteers will pick up litter and debris while on kayaks and in the water snorkeling. EcoAdventures will provide the kayak and snorkel gear to volunteers. Participants should meet at the Crandon Park Visitor and Nature Center (Crandon Park North Beach entrance). Please bring swimwear, comfortable clothes that can get dirty, close-toed shoes, protection from the sun (sunglasses, sunscreen, hats), and a refillable water bottle. Bringing some snacks is also suggested.
*This cleanup is open to volunteers ages 15 and up (kayak/snorkel).
