City Reads Play Reading Series

City Theatre, the award-winning producers of SUMMER SHORTS and WINTER SHORTS festivals, has culled four new scripts from its National Award for Short Playwriting Contest, looking for the best shorts in the country. Led by City Theatre's Artistic Director Margaret M. Ledford and performed by a talented ensemble of local professional actors, readings invite South Florida audiences to have a role in the discovery of new plays and playwrights. A discussion with the staff and artists of City Theatre will follow the readings each evening. Four readings will be taking place at Books and Books Coral Gables on 4/16, 7/16, 8/6, and 9/17 at 8:00 pm.
