Community Lector:  Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park
Lu Dodson has a BA in Biology from Wake Forest University, and is trained and has worked as a wildlife rehabilitation veterinary technician, and medical technician. In 1999, she and her husband bought an RV and began traveling the United States full time. What began as an extended vacation turned into a lifestyle and the worked and volunteered for various State, Federal, and private agencies across America. Lu was a seasonal interpretive National Park Service ranger on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina for 3 years. In 2012, she was hired as a Park Services Specialist at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park in North Palm Beach, Florida. In March of 2016, Lu was presented with the Joe Kenner Interpreter of the Year Award for the Florida Park Service and was promoted to Assistant Park Manager of Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park in Key Biscayne.
