Event Description:
Saturday, October 6 marks the 12 year anniversary of the tragic boating accident that took the lives of Monica Burguera and James Noel Pou. In celebration of Columbus Day Weekend, the Monica Burguera Foundation will have volunteers, members, officers of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and U.S. National Park Service members at 10 Miami-Dade County Marina’s to distribute boating safety pamphlets and flyers.
The Monica Burguera Foundation, in conjunction with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, is committed to creating awareness & educating the community by offering a FREE Watercraft Safety Course the first Saturday of every month.
